Wayne Gordon is an accomplished musician who has been performing for over 37 years. Proficient in a wide variety of musical styles and genres, Wayne brings a flavor to the Piano/Keyboard that is often attributed to his British upbringing, and Caribbean background. He began his musical training with the Royal School of Music in England, yet is proficient whether playing solo piano, as part of big band, or in church. His resume and experience is too lengthy to document in full. Even in his teenage years he was privileged to perform at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, and The Royal Festival Hall in London, England with artists like Deniece Williams and Phillip Bailey (Earth, Wind & Fire).
During and after his studies at Lee University and Texas Southern University, as a business administration and music major (vocal emphasis), he functioned in various musically related roles such as producer, engineer, chief musician, music minister and performing with artists like James Moore and Twinkie Clark-Terrell. Gaining greatly from his time working with Grammy Nominated artist and songwriter Oliver Scott formerly of The Gap Band. More recently he performed with international artists such as Kyle Turner, Peter White, Ron Brown, Mikki Howard, Bobby Lyle, Joe Carmouche, The Temptations, Marion Meadows, Dean James, and grammy nominated Bubbha Thomas and Houston's Summer Jazz Workshop to name a few.
He has more recently produced and performed on many recordings such as Beau Williams' The Greatest Love, Lord; Build This House, and Kyle Turner's KT3.
Wayne is often heard at many Houston area weddings, clubs, concerts, festivals like the Houston International Jazz Festival and Freedom Over Texas, and for organizations like the Houston Minority Business Council , Urban League and area Junior League and a myriad of other private functions such as Mayoral events, Local politcal campaigns and venues.
He has two beautiful children Nia & Jonathan.
